In the shadowed streets of Wales, gang leader Freddie walks a fine line between power and responsibility. We have limited time on set (4–10 hours a day), so we use “prototypes” — rough versions of the film created in advance. This helps cast and crew arrive fully prepared. Actors can develop characters and ask questions early, and the crew knows exactly what shots are needed. It keeps everyone aligned on the day.

With a large-scale fight scene, this prep is essential for safety and confidence on set. We’re looking at 9 x 6-hour days: a table read/prototype, one dialogue prototype day, two fight prototype days, and five shoot days (four at UFCC, Cardiff, and one in St Mellons, Cardiff).
