Born in England but raised in South Africa, Savannah grew up in a vibrant environment which nurtured her deep love of storytelling. As a deaf person, she found that she could really connect and express herself through storytelling. From an early age she wrote stories of adventure, stapling the pages together to make them resemble a book. As her writing progressed, her love for drawing and painting did too and she started to illustrate the stories she wrote.

At school Savannah discovered a passion for drama. She witnessed how storytelling was brought to life through characters, sets, costumes, and other theatrical devices. As she advanced through high school and approached university, she realised that she could combine all her artistic passions into one career: filmmaking.

Ever since then, she has thrown herself into the world of filmmaking. She is inspired by the human condition and exploring what makes people react and tick. She has explored this theme extensively throughout the short films which she has written and directed.

Delving deeper into filmmaking, she discovered another area she had not considered before: music videos. Savannah has worked to put together four different music videos for two respective artists and hopes to continue to produce and direct music videos in the future.

Savannah is a creative, enthusiastic and dedicated filmmaker with an eye for detail. She enjoys weaving stories and new worlds from ethereal imaginings and watching them progressively come to life as the project evolves. Every step of the way she is involved, engaged and deeply attentive to the many aspects in her filmmaking.

Not just proficient in writing scripts, she is also competent and efficient in managing her team. She has a strong grasp on set management skills such as planning and time management, and encourages clear, respectful communication on set. She is able to meet challenges such as problem solving and fostering a positive work environment with adaptability and empathy. She seeks to ensure that every project is valuable, productive, and enjoyable.

Confident in the skills she has developed over her years of studying, Savannah is keen to embrace new learning opportunities and develop herself further in the wider world of filmmaking.
